Island Explorer Sea Kayak Tour & Lobster
Kayak the rugged coast near Peggy’s Cove on a guided tour, exploring protected bays, secluded beaches, and windswept granite islands with turquoise water. Stopping on one of the many pristine islands, you’ll get to stretch your legs and enjoy a snack, soaking in the views. Returning to East Coast Outfitters’ base, relax wharfside for a traditional lobster boil with all the fixings—it’s a truly unforgettable, Nova Scotia experience.

Full Moon Paddle
Let’s go paddling in the dark—of the full moon. Launching at sunset, you’ll paddle along the rugged coast, near Peggy’s Cove and into the protected bay. As the sun dips into the horizon and darkness falls, feel the tranquility of the night as you dip your paddle into the calm waters— you might even see the sparkle of bioluminescence.

Conditions: Booking required. Guests are required to bring a hands-free light or flashlight for the tour. This tour is extremely weather-dependent. East Coast Outfitters will do their best to notify people in a timely manner if they must cancel due to weather, but be aware that some of these decisions could be made within half an hour of the tour. Island Paddle & Coastal Hike Tour
Explore the granite coastline, islands, and trails of Lower Prospect, near Peggy’s Cove, on this full-day kayaking and hiking tour.
Departing by kayak from East Coast Outfitters’ sheltered cove, you’ll explore incredible bays, hidden inlets, and granite islands. Returning to East Coast Outfitters’, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax on the wharf, before walking to nearby Terence Bay. Hike the windswept Shipley’s Head, visit Terence Bay Lighthouse, and stroll the SS Atlantic Heritage Park Trail. The trail and small onsite interpretive center share the story of the biggest shipwreck in Nova Scotia’s history, which happened just off the coast.

Sunset Sea Kayak Tour & BBQ

Wharf side BBQ, enjoyed on the wharf at East Coast Outfitters with barbequed burgers, veggies, fruit platter, chips and dip
Length: 2.5 hours
Cost: $100 per adult, 85 for children under 12
Group size 4-6 people; can add more if you have a larger group
Daily Departures: 6 pm (Departure times change later in the season as the sun sets earlier. Call ECO for departure times starting in August)

Reservations and Cancellation Policy (Please take the time to read carefully.)
To reserve space on a tour, we need at least 24 hours notice or more. If you are booking a tour within 48 hours of the date, please call us.
To confirm/reserve your spot(s) on a tour we require you to provide us with a credit card number, expiry date and CVV. No payment is needed ahead of time and full payment for the excursion can be made on the day of the tour. At ECO we have a strict policy of having one guide for every six people on the water. Our day tours will have no more than six people on a tour with the exception of our Daily Specials and group tours. Organization for our tours is vital, so there can be no rescheduling or refunds within 48 hrs unless a suitable replacement is found.
Cancellations within 48 hours: We understand that unexpected things can happen - flights get delayed or canceled, people get sick, life throws curveballs. However, you will be charged in full for each spot you have reserved if you cancel within 48 hours of the tour. There are no exceptions. We appreciate your understanding and support of our small business as we reserve your spaces and dedicate resources in advance to ensure a quality experience. Cancelations must be made via email, followed by a phone call to confirm. If a replacement for your reservation is found, or for cancellations of 48hrs or more in advance a $25 administration fee will be issued and no additional charges will be added.
We reserve the right to cancel or alter any tours or rentals due to weather or insufficient registration. If ECO cancels the trip due to weather-related reasons (High winds or lightning), there will not be a cancelation fee and we will try and reschedule the tour.
