Paddling Lessons, Courses and Clinics

We have several program streams to choose from. If you are new to paddling, have a look at our introductory courses, below. If you have paddled before but are looking to improve your skills, have a look at the Skills Development options. If you are hooked and want to become a guide, see below to find out how.

Sea Kayak Lessons

Work one on one or with a small group with one of our trained instructors for a personalized paddling lesson. Learn at your own pace on your own schedule. Lessons can take place at our base or at a location that is convenient for you (a transportation fee will be added). We will cater the course to fit your needs; whether you are brand new to kayaking or want to work on more advanced skills. Private lessons are limited to 1 to 4 people.

To confirm/reserve your spot(s) on a course we require you to provide us with a credit card number, expiry date, CVV in lieu of a 50% deposit. Payment can be made on the day of the course.  Organization for our courses/lessons is vital, so there can be no rescheduling or refunds within 1 month of the course unless a suitable replacement is found.

Cancelation: if you cancel your reservation within 1 month of the course date your deposit will not be returned. If a replacement for your reservation is found, or for cancellations of 1 month or more in advance a $30 administration fee will be issued and no additional charges will be added. If you cancel within 1 week of the course you will be charged the full amount of the course unless a suitable replacement is found.

We reserve the right to cancel or alter any tours or rentals due to weather or insufficient registration.  If ECO cancels the trip due to weather-related reasons (High winds or lightning), there will not be a cancelation fee and we will try and reschedule the tour.
