Full Day Sea Kayak and Hike Tour

Service Description

Join us for a full day on the water in the tiny fishing village of Lower Prospect and along the beautiful coast of Terence Bay—it will surely be a highlight of your summer. ​ Your tour will leave from our sheltered cove on the Lower Prospect peninsula, and spend the first half of your tour exploring incredible bays, inlets, islands and shorelines such as Cub Basin, Rogues Roost, Betty’s Island, or the Terence Bay Wilderness Protected Area. we will return back to base for lunch and have a chance to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenic view from our wharf. ​ Then we will venture onto the lower half of the Terence Bay wilderness preserve for a hike along Shipley’s Head. We will visit the Terence Bay light house and walk along the SS Atlantic Heritage park trail while enjoying the magnificent view of the Terence Bay cliffs and we will have a chance to visit the small Interpretation center onsite before heading back to ECO. ​ Our full day tours run daily from 9 am to 4 pm. Please call at least 24hrs in advance to book ​ Length: 7  hours Cost: $140 per person ($160 per person if only 2 people) Includes: kayak, gear, guide, water, island snack, lunch Daily Departures: 9am (meet at 8:30am at ECO) Reservations: Reservations are required and subject to availability. Level of difficulty: Sea Kayaking (no experience necessary), Hiking (easy to moderate difficulty) *Price does not include tax or gratuity. No experience necessary. ​

Cancellation Policy

Bookings and Cancellation Policy (Please take the time to read carefully.) To confirm your spot on a tour or to book a rental boat, we require a Credit Card number be provided to confirm the booking. After you full out your online booking, a staff member from ECO will call you to gather this information. Full payment of the tour can be made on the day of the tour after the tour has completed. At ECO we have a strict policy of having one guide for every six people on the water. Our day tours will have no more than six people on a tour with the exception of our Daily Specials and group tours. Organization for our tours is vital, so there can be no rescheduling or refunds within 48hrs unless a suitable replacement is found. Cancelation: if a tour is cancelled by the client within 48 hours of the tour date you will be charged the full amount of the tour. If a replacement for your reservation is found, or for cancellations of 48hrs or more in advance a $10 administration fee will be issued and no additional charges will be added. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any tours or rentals due to weather or insufficient registration. If ECO cancels the trip due to weather related reasons (High winds or lightning), there will not be a fee and we will try and reschedule the tour.
