Although summer is not over yet, it is back to school and we would like to thank everyone who came and paddled with us over the last few months. You are amazing people and we loved sharing our passion for kayaking with you.

Dock and Dine

When: Saturday September 13th
Time 4pm paddle, Dine 6:30
Cost: $80 plus taxes or $55 plus taxes for the Dine or $30 plus taxes

The team From East Coast Outfitters will be bringing you the unique seaside experience once a month from May to September. Enjoy a beautiful sea kayak tour of Lower Prosepct then dine on a delicious seaside meal on our wharf prepared by Chef Dennis Johnson.

What is a Dock and Dine?

A Dock and Dine is when you come out to East Coast Outfitters and have a beautiful kayak paddle in the small bays and inlets of Lower Prospect. You Dock your kayak and Dine, seaside, on the meal prepared for you with locally sourced and foraged ingredients.

Bring a fleece or jacket in case it gets a little chilly near the end of the evening. We look forward to seeing you there!


Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 1 Skills Course – September 13-14

This course provides the skill and knowledge necessary for day-long sea kayaking trips in sheltered waters (non-wilderness areas). Successful completion of Level-1 indicates competence to paddle a sea kayak within a sheltered bay in the company of one or more paddlers with Level-1 or greater skill and knowledge.. COST $300 plus HST

LOCATION East Coast Outfitters, Lower Prospect
TIME: 9am-5pm, each day
INCLUDES kayak, gear, instructor, water, snacks, lunches and certification fee
EXCLUDES: Personal gear, accommodations
Participants assessed for Paddle Canada Level 1 certification.

Guide Training Program: Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 2 Skills

Registration for ECO’s Guide Training Program: Paddle Canada lvl 2 skills is now open!

Successful participants are eligible for national certification by Paddle Canada and employment at East Coast Outfitters. We require no previous experience- we will teach you everything you need to know. We only require that you are a self identified leader, and that you are willing to challenge yourself.

Open paddle dates are scheduled in September on the 14th, 21st and 28th. If you want to come out and go for a paddle and learn more about the program give us a call at 902-852-2567

Course starts on the weekend of October 4th. But you can register at any time.
If you want an awesome summer job with a great bunch of people this program is for you!

Group Paddles and Team Building

A great way to spend some time with co-workers, friends or family. We offer group rates and the fall season is a great time to be on the water. Check out our packages:

Daily Specials

Daily specials are runnin right until the end of October. A beautiful paddle along the coast while the leaves are changin colours is one of the best ways to expereince Nova Scotia.

The only change is that the tour will start at 5:30 and end at 7:30 starting September 8th as the sun is now setting just before 8pm and paddling in the dark in a safety concern.
