2011 Season starts May 1st

The birds are chirping and the snow is melting. It’s officially spring here in Nova Scotia. This means that we’re busy getting ready for another amazing season! Our doors open May 1st, but there’s still lots to do. The yearly boom-truck day is fast approaching.

New this year is Stand up Paddleboards (SUP). ECO owner Dave Adler recently headed to Vancouver to attend Paddle Canada’s SUP Instructor training. He came back as SUPer Dave Adler and is keen to teach SUP lessons all summer long.

As the floats go back in the water, our guides are busy getting themselves in paddling shape. This means lots of extra fun paddles. So far every day this week ours guides have been out on the water exploring, sharpening their skills and generally having a good time. In fact ECO guides Kirk, Karl and Erin along with guide in training Corynn headed out this last monday for a little taste of the of the gnar after a storm gave us some wonderful waves. Here’s the little video Karl put together of their trip.
